What is the difference of PPGI and PPGL?
Pre-painted galvalume steel coil is also called PPGL.
While PPGI is short for Pre-Painted galvanized Iron steel.
PPGI is with zinc coating.
PPGL is coated with 55% aluminum, 43.3% zinc, and 1.6% silicon. This is the main difference between PPGI and PPGL, which will further influence their features and applications.
Both of zinc coating and galvalume coating are used to protect the metal from rusting to prolong its service life. For the GI sheet, the base metal will be not damaged as long as zinc coating is keep well. Normally the galvanized sheet may last for 10 to 15 years.
Al-Zn coating is more corrosion-resistant than zinc-coated steel sheet. The service life of PPGL is 2-5 times longer than that of PPGI.
Both PPGI and PPGL sheets are widely used in wall paneling and roofing. By comparison, PPGL has better resistance to corrosion, which means it is more suitable for severe outdoor environments. Also, due to its good heat resistance and good surface conductivity, it is widely used in chimney pipes, oven and lampshade, etc. However, the cut edges of PPGL are less protected. So you can use anti-rust paint or zinc-rich paint to the cut edges.

Hot dip galvanized substrate
Hot dip galvanized substrate is coating with the organic.
In addition to the protective effect of zinc, the organic coating on the surface of the hot-dip galvanized color-coated sheet also plays the role of insulation and protection, preventing rust, and the service life is longer than that of the hot-dip galvanized sheet. The zinc content of the hot-dip galvanized substrate is generally 180g/m2 (double-sided), and the maximum zinc coating of the hot-dip galvanized substrate for building exterior is 275g/m2.
Hot-dip Al-Zn substrate
The hot-dip galvanized steel sheet (55% Al-Zn) is used as the new coating substrate, the AL-Zn coating is usually 150g/㎡(double-sided). The corrosion resistance of hot-dip galvanized sheet is 2-5 times that of hot-dip galvanized sheet. The ability to reflect heat and light is 2 times that of hot-dip galvanized steel, and the reflectivity is greater than 0.75, which is an ideal building material for energy saving.
Electro-galvanized substrate
The electro-galvanized sheet is used as the substrate, coating with the organic paint and baking is the electro-galvanized color-coated sheet.
Because the zinc layer of the electro-galvanized sheet is thin, the zinc content of the electro-galvanized sheet is usually 20g/㎡, so this product is not suitable for make walls, roofs, outside etc. As its beautiful appearance and excellent processing performance, it can be mainly used in home appliances, audio, steel furniture, interior decoration etc.

The coil common thickness is 0.15mm, 0.2mm, 0.25mm, 0.3mm, 0.35mm, 0.4mm, 0.45mm, 0.5mm, 0.55mm.
The coil common zinc coating is 20-30g/m2. Specially zinc coating with 20-30g/㎡ is popular at African market. And zinc coating with 40-50g/m2 is popular at South American market.

One coil is 3-8tons. It is suggested one coil with 4tons, as one 20ft container can load (4tons*7) 28tons with 7coils.

If the width is 700mm, thickness is 0.3mm , length is 2,426meter/coil.
If with 0.4*700mm the length is 1,819meter/coil.
If with 0.3mm*1,200mm, the length is 1,415meter/coil.
If with 0.3mm*900mm, the length is 1,887meter/coil.

The length is depends on the coils of width, thickness.
