Calculate the weight of the steel plate
To calculate the weight of a steel plate, all you need are 4 parameters as below:
Thickness
Length
Width
Density
Weight=Thickness*Width*Length*Density
Stainless steel: Weight(kg)=Thickness(mm)*Width(meter)*Length(meter)*7.93
For example, one piece stainless steel with width 1.5m, length 3m, thickness 3mm
The weight is 3*3*1.5*7.93=107.055kg
Carbon steel: Weight(kg)=Thickness(mm)*Length(meter)*Width(meter)*7.85
For example, one piece stainless steel with thickness 2mm,width 1.2m, length 2.4m,
The weight is 2*1.2*2.4*7.85=45.216kg
Flat carbon steel
Width*thickness*Length*0.00785
The galvanized sheet is same with carbon steel.
How to calculate the weight of stainless steel bar?
Stainless steel round bar: Weight=Diameter(mm)*Diameter(mm)*Length(meter)*0.00623
If one piece steel bar with diameter 5mm, length 6meter,
The weight is 10*10*6*0.00623=3.738kg
Carbon steel round bar: Weight=Diameter(mm)*Diameter(mm)*Length(meter)*0.00617
The way how to calculate the weight of steel pipe?
Stainless steel round tube:
Weight=(Outside diameter-thickness)*Thickness*Length*0.02491
For example, the stainless steel tube with outside diameter 50.8mm, thickness 3mm and length 6meter, the weight=(50.8-3)*3*6*0.02491=21.43kg.
Stainless steel square tube:
Weight=(Width*4/3.14-thickness)*thickness*length*0.02491
For example, the stainless steel tube with width 25.4mm, thickness 5mm and length 6meter, the Weight=(25.4mm*4/3.14-5)*5*6*0.02491=3.4kg.
Stainless steel rectangle tube:
((Length+Width)×2/3.14-thickness)*thickness*Length*0.02491
Carbon steel round tube:
Weight=(Outside diameter-thickness)*Thickness*Length*0.02466
Carbon steel square tube:
(width*4/3.14-thickness)*thickness*length*0.02466
Carbon steel rectangle tube:
((Length+Width)×2/3.14-thickness)*thickness*Length*0.02466
Galvanized square pipe:

How many pieces of corrugated sheet can be produced by one galvanized, PPGI or PPGL coil?
The number of sheets=1000/7.85/thickness(mm)/width(meter)*weight(ton)/single sheet length
For example, one coil is 0.3*1200mm, weight is 4ton, one corrugated sheet length with 3meter
The pieces can be produced is 1000/7.85/0.3/1.2*4/3
How long is one galvanized, PPGI or PPGL coil?
For example, one coil is 0.3*1200mm, the length=1000/7.85/0.3/1.2=353meter.
Aluminum sheet weight=Length(meter)*Width(meter)*Thickness(mm)*2.71
For example, the aluminum sheet with length 3meter, width 1.5meter, thickness 5mm
Weight=3*1.5*5=22.5kg
